Woodland Inspirations
RSA member Sue Bloomfield began to take daily walks with her dog in Caer Llan Wood, Monmouth. Inspired by the flora and fauna of the woods, she produced a collection of poetry and paintings which she has now published in a book called Woodland Inspirations. Many thanks to Sue for all her efforts in publishing this delightful book and to Professor Dame Carol Black for her contribution. Sue has asked for all the proceeds to be given to the RSA. London Marathon

Glenn Marshall (pictured left) raised £3,450.06 for the RSA in memory of Derek Marshall through taking part in the London Marathon. Jeremy Goddard (pictured right) raised £1,620. We would also like to thank Louise Langmead and James Harris who took part. Together the 4 runners raised over £8,000.
Pink Beard for Charity
Paul Mudie (pictured) raised £1,200 for the RSA in memory of his wife though organising various fundraising activities, including dyeing his beard pink.
Killer Mile
Lisa Hadley took part in the Killer Mile with friends. Together they raised £305.50 for the RSA. Well done!

Charity Shop Donation

RSA member Audrey Jackman, is a volunteer at the Downing Street Charity Shop in Farnham, which is owned by Lady Tindle. Each month the profits from the shop are donated to a different charity. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £1,000 which Kathy Allen collected on behalf of the Association.
Burton Support Group
Andy Mawdsley, who chaired the AGM of the Burton-on-Trent support group was presented with a cheque on behalf of the RSA for £500. Pictured left is Andy receiving the donation from physiotherapist and group organiser, Helen Nutland.
Manchester Event
Gill Holden from Manchester raised £1,230 for the Association through organising a fundraising evening. Pictured left is Gill with her daughter Cara.
Golden Wedding Anniversary
Betty and John Beeching (pictured left) raised £200 for the RSA by requesting donations in lieu of gifts in celebration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Skipping Mania
Andy Mawdsley came up with the idea of raising money for the RSA by organising a World Record attempt for children skipping simultaneously for 3 minutes. Approximately 49,000 young people in Staffordshire and Lincolnshire took part. At the RSA Conference Andy announced that the World Record had now been approved and he presented the Trustees with a cheque for £10,000 which was raised by the skipping challenge. Sudbury Lions
RSA Trustee, Jo Kaddish and Chief Executive, Anne Mawdsley were presented with a cheque for £400 from Sudbury Lions. The RSA is most appreciative for this very kind donation.

Beach & Coastal Walk
Frances Davies took part in a 20 mile Charity Beach and Coastal walk, around the Llyn Peninsular in North Wales. Raising money for future research is very important to Frances as her best friend Linda, has scleroderma. This event raised £815.
Liverpool 5k Challenge
Sue Shuttleworth took part in the Adidas Women's 5k Challenge
in Liverpool and raised £434.30 for the RSA.
Wolstanton Golf Club
Anne Mawdsley received a cheque for £1,760 from Wolstanton Golf Club in Staffordshire.

Cycle Ride
Angela Norman raised an incredible £735 for the RSA by doing the
100 mile cycle ride from Marple to Chester and back all in one day.
End to End Challenge
Pictured (left to right) are Ewan MacKenzie, Simon Tomkins, Charlie Halpin and Hannah MacKenzie.
Hannah has scleroderma so Ewan set himself the challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats over a 12 day period together with Charlie and Simon to raise funds for the RSA. The event raised £8,397.90 for research. Well done and thanks to all concerned.
