President of the RSA - Prof Dame Carol Black

prof.blackProfessor Dame Carol Black is Chairman of the Nuffield Trust, National Director for Health and Work and maintains a deep interest in both the clinical and research aspects of connective tissue diseases. Professor Black is a member of many national committees with purposes closely aligned with the aim of improving health and healthcare. She is also a Foreign Affiliate member of the Institute of Medicine, USA.

I have seen it grow and develop and become a mature organisation which not only supports clinical and basic research but is a wonderful source of information and support for patients.
